There was a slight odor and I wanted to rule our any possible mold. When I called, Jeff was very informative and helpful and answered all my questions. He got my onto the schedule very quickly. When he came, he did a walked through and even pointed out other items to be aware of. Hes a pro and happy to help. He understood my situation and needs and put the results in on a rush. We were able to do the inspection after some light rain, but since I got a radon test as well, Jeff scheduled to return after a heavier rain a few days later to recheck for moisture. I contacted Jeff over a holiday weekend and he promptly answered my questions over the phone and within minutes we had a confirmed home inspection the day after the holiday. During the inspection Jeff was very professional and thorough. He explained what he was looking for, and why. He didn't seem rushed, or bothered when we asked clarifying questions. He also didn't have a patronizing tone with me or my husband. He spoke to us like equals and it was very refreshing. When items did come up during the inspection, he offered resources or suggestions on what our next steps might be. He definitely knew his limits and capabilities, and did not shy away from suggesting when we should get someone more qualified - i.e. a structural engineer, to look at something. The inspection report was provided timely within 24 hours and was very easy to read and comprehend. It was easy to see what was listed as a material defect, what was a potential for concern, and what we did not need to focus on at the moment. I don't remember obtaining something so detailed when we purchased our first home 14+ years ago from a different inspection company. I remember a very different process which makes me cringe. I 100% recommend Arms Home Inspection and would/will use them in the future, should we decide to move again.
